The Role

· Based within the central Engineering Team

· Providing Management for Minor Civils activities.

Responsibilities

The Candidate

· Experienced Civils or Contracts Manager, or aspiring Manager working within the rail structures engineering field.

The Role:

Role Purpose

• Reporting directly to the Examinations & Geomatics Director, and working within the Examinations and Inspections Team, the Project Manager is responsible for day to day delivery and support of projects on the railway infrastructure.
• Client facing duties include project management and acting as a technical advisor.
• The Project Manager shall provide technical and delivery guidance and motivation to delivery staff and clients.
• The applicant should ideally have an appreciation of wider rail engineering disciplines, including structures, rail access procedures, and specialist access techniques.

The successful candidate will show a flexible attitude to work, a willingness to take on new challenges, and have a background in rail engineering activities or management, ideally within the structures/specialist access field.

Key Accountabilities

• Project management of rail logistics, examination and inspection projects, reporting of assigned work, and providing support to the wider management team.

Railway Engineering: Permanent Way Apprenticeships

Key Accountabilities

• Planning railway access in line with Network Rail protocols
• Safe System of Work Planning, involving assessment of the work being undertaken, site constraints, access availability, and competence of the individuals on site.
• Ensuring that all relevant documentation is collated accurately and included in Safe Work Packs.
• Preparing/checking Safe System of Work Plans.
• Offer planning support and guidance to Project Managers and the Planning and Resource Manager.

Role Purpose





· The individual will be responsible for the maintenance and smooth running of the sample store at BCL HQ contributing to the successful delivery of SIGI projects from site as part of a team established by the nominated Project Manager (PM). The role is office based and will involve the collection and collation of all samples from site, booking them into the sample system and then sorting them for delivery to the testing laboratory.

Warehouse Operative

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Warehouse team. Bridgeway Consulting provide a diverse range of specialist engineering services to the Rail Industry. The stores personnel are part of the Business Support Services team and are integral to the success and continued growth of the company.

The Warehouse Operative will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and help perform a key function within the Business, which can also include some facilities duties. The store is the nucleus of our operation, providing all equipment required for site based staff to carry out their duties (on a job by job basis).
