The Role:

Role Purpose

• Reporting directly to the Project Lead, the Project Manager – Examination Enabling Works is responsible for day to day delivery of enabling works activities ahead of Examination and Inspection works.

• Working within a wider Project Team, the Project Manager will ensure that enabling works are planned and executed safely and efficiently, and in a timely manner.

• Enabling work activities will include devegetation, de-watering, silt removal, netting and other obstruction removal and access management. The role will include an understanding of environmental factors which may affect the works, and liaising with relevant stakeholders including internal teams, Network Rail, Canals and Rivers Trust, Environment Agency, 3rd party landowners, and local authorities.

• The role will include significant specialist subcontractor management across the Network Rail Eastern Region.

This role would best suit Senior Assistant/Geotechnical Engineers who are either at Intermediate level and are looking to progress to the next level in their career, or an experienced individual who has aspirations of managing ever more complex investigations.
For the role, you will;
• Hold a relevant degree, ideally within civil engineering or geology/earth sciences
• Post Graduate qualifications an advantage

Role Purpose

• Reporting directly to the Senior Project Team, and working within the Examinations and Inspections Team, the TM Planning Manager is responsible for day to day planning and delivery of traffic management activities to enable survey and inspection works.
• Client facing duties include project management and acting as a technical advisor.
• The role shall provide technical and delivery guidance, and liaison with key subcontractors, internal teams, local authorities, and suppliers..
• The applicant should ideally have an appreciation of wider engineering disciplines, including structure inspection and specialist access techniques.

The successful candidate will show a flexible attitude to work, a willingness to take on new challenges, and have a background in traffic management planning or coordination.
The Geographical coverage of our planned works vary from inner city locations, through to remote rural locations and span the length of the UK. Our HQ is based in Nottingham, but we are keen to work with applicants regarding office locations and working from home arrangements.

Key Accountabilities

• Liaising with internal delivery teams to develop plans which combine access to highways, railways, and waterways.

Role Purpose:

· The individual will be part of the Infrastructure Services team working alongside experienced Examiners to gain an understanding and experience of bridges and other railway infrastructure;

· The individual will be responsible for undertaking examinations, writing and submitting written reports and entering reports on client’s databases;

· The overall aim of the role is to become a proficient Structures Examiner with the ability to work alone as a qualified STE04 after a period of training and mentoring;

· The individual will undergo specialist access training, including working at height roped access and will be trained to work in a confined space

Role Purpose

• Responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of SI/GI projects on site as part of a team established by the nominated Project Manager (PM). The role is site based and will involve the collection and collation of all site information to enable a report to be produced.

• Delivery of SI/GI works to include but not limited to: Window Sampling, Cable percussive Drilling, Rotary Drilling, Structural Coring, Trial Pitting, and Dynamic Probing. • Assist in the delivery of safety critical duties on rail infrastructure once qualified.
