Our multi-skilled teams have an array of skills; we have expertise in access management, isolations, safety critical duties, supervising engineering work sites and SSoW planning. We are able to manage both possessions and isolations as a coherent joined-up service.

Job Purpose
To ensure the overall site safety whilst working on a possession. To ensure that the possession support staff are familiar with the work site and possession requirements.
Job Duties
• Planning duties for the possessions allocated to the individual employee.
• Familiarisation with work sites and engineering tasks to be undertaken.
• Identification of blocking points.
• Tagging of blocking points.
• Attending site meetings.
• Chairing PICOP Meetings.
• Contributing to risk assessments.
• Contributing to the development of contingency planning.
• Arranging for Possession Support Staff to undertake familiarisation with work site and possession requirements.
• Undertake refresher training.
• Undertake development training.
• Working under the direction of Network Rail or its successors’ representatives.
• Familiarise yourself with the Railway Geography of the areas in which you work.
• Undertake local training and familiarisation of Possession Support Staff.
• Deputise for the contract manager when required.
• Comply with the training and other requirements of your Safety Responsibility Statement.
• Attend Possession Management / Site / Safety Critical / Planning meetings as required and requested.
• Assist with the development, coaching and mentoring of Safety Critical Staff.
• To carry out safety critical duties in accordance with competency certification held.
• To assist in the office as and when required.
• Undertake other duties in accordance with the requirements of the company.
Key Requirements
• Experience as PICOP or SPICOP in a previous role
• Relevant PICOP or SPICOP rail competencies
• Extensive route knowledge of Eastern and East Midlands routes
• Full UK manual driving license
Predominently working Saturday nights at the weekend!
Overtime available for mid-week shifts!

Job Purpose
When engineering maintenance is required on a section of track, a possession is taken to close the line to normal traffic providing protection for the workers.
As a Possession Support worker, you will carry out duties under direction to assist the safe and efficient delivery of access to the railway infrastructure for engineering maintenance. You will use the necessary equipment and comply with the plans provided for delivering the safe access arrangements.
Please note the majority of work will be during the night and you will be working alone.
Duties
- To assist in Implementing arrangements
- Support the movement of Engineering Trains
- Comply with all relevant legislation and railway rules
- Clearly communicate with the relevant individuals
- Follow industry and company reporting procedures
- Accurately complete the relevant documentation
